More than One-Third of Top 50 PA Schools in CAPS Region

Nineteen public high schools in Bucks and Montgomery counties were ranked among the best 63 high schools in Pennsylvania, according to the recently released U.S.News & World Report Best High Schools survey. Top schools included New Hope- Solebury and Lower Merion, ranking two and five respectively statewide, with both earning a gold medal for their performance on state assessments and preparation for college.

Thirty-four percent of the top 50 schools in the state are located in our two counties, and all of them earned a silver medal. Overall, the survey included an examination of 676 public high schools statewide.

To compare high schools around the state and across the country, the rankings take into consideration factors such as reading and math scores, performance of disadvantaged students on state tests, graduation rates, and college readiness.
